Twice a year the Austin Parks Foundation in conjunction with the city sponsors a work day to help maintain and show appreciation for the many open areas available to enjoy in the city. NUNA residents frequently take advantage of the event to mulch the trees in Adams-Hemphill Park and Sparky Park. Participants also help to clean up trash from the creek and spring in Adams-Hemphill Park.
